Admissions & Sessions

Tavistock Montessori Pre-School is open to children from the age of 2 years until 5 years old, we can hold a maximum of 16  children per session, with at least two qualified members of teaching staff each session. The setting is registered to accept funding for the new 2 year old funding scheme for working parents and the other two-year old’s that are eligible for funding, we also offer the free 15 hours of Early Years Education Funding for 3-4 year-old children as well as the Extended Entitlement of 30 hours Funding. 

In addition to this, the setting is able to claim the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) for eligible children.

All registrations are dealt with in date order for each term. Preferences for sessions are taken into account and we try to accommodate all requirements. Where additional sessions become available, these will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Our Early morning starts are an added option to parents especially those who work, there will be an added charge at our hourly rate if we cannot include the early starts in the funded hours that parents are eligible for.  For those children that come in on half days can also have the option to come in for our Lunch Club at an extra £2.50, children that come in for morning session can stay for lunch and children that come in the afternoon sessions can come in earlier for lunch, this giving parents added flexibility.

Being a Montessori Pre-school we do encourage healthy eating here, at our snack times we provide the children healthy snacks with drinks of water/milk for their, we let the children hand out the plates and the glasses to their classmates during snack time this giving them a sense of achievement because of them being included.
